What you need.

  • Beehouse Dripper
  • Paper filter
  • Cup or a large server
  • Kitchen scale
  • Spoon
  • Kettle

Grind setting for Beehouse: medium.

Set up, step by step.

Do this once before your first brew. When you're ready, the matching brew guide takes over with a live, guided timer.

  1. Boil the kettle We recommend boiling more water to keep your cup warm while you brew.
  2. Weigh out the coffee and grind it 1tbsp ~ 12g. Make sure you adjust the grinder first to get the right grind size.
  3. Place the cup/vessel onto scale Do not turn the scales on yet.
  4. Place the dripper on top of the cup Alternatively use a dripper stand to keep the set steady.
  5. Open the paper filter to form a cone shape You can fold it in the middle to make it stay in shape.
  6. Put the paper filter into the dripper Make sure it touches the walls of the drippers all around.
  7. Pour a little water into the filter paper to wet it Make sure all parts of the filter are wet.
  8. Discard the water once it has drained through the paper filter First, remove the dripper, discard the water and replace it after. Make sure the dripper keeps steady after.
  9. Add the coffee in to the paper filter Gently shake or tap the dripper to level the ground coffee. Optionally: Make a small well in coffee grinds using a spoon or your knuckle.
  10. Turn on the scale, ensuring it reads `0g` Some scales will require to switch to "Grams" mode. Filtru-supported scales will need to be tare'd manually.
  11. You’re all set! You can now prepare your Beehouse equipment. Press "Done" to start the timer and Filtru will guide your pouring flow. These slides will not show up again.

Ready for the first brew?

Filtru's guided timer tells you what to do and when. Connect a Bluetooth scale and it records weight and flow as you pour, so even your first brew is one you can learn from.
