Get started with UFO.

Set up, step by step.

Do this once before your first brew. When you're ready, the matching brew guide takes over with a live, guided timer.

1. Boil the kettle Boil a little extra water so you can rinse the filter and warm the brewer.
2. Weigh 15g of coffee and grind it Use a coarse grind as your starting point with Type A paper.
3. Place your server on the scale Choose a server that comfortably holds the full brew.
4. Place the UFO on your server Check that the dripper sits level and secure.
5. Open and place the Type A filter Use the Type A size made for your UFO model and settle it evenly against the wide cone.
6. Rinse the filter and warm the brewer Wet the paper gently so it keeps its shape.
7. Discard the rinse water Keep the dripper steady as you empty the server, then return it to the scale.
8. Add the coffee and level the bed Gently shake the dripper until the shallow coffee bed sits flat.
9. Turn on the scale and tare it to 0g Make sure your scale is set to grams before you begin.
10. You’re all set! Press "Done" to start. Aim to finish between 2:30 and 3:30. If it drains sooner, grind a little finer next time. At 3:30, remove it and grind a little coarser next time if it is still dripping.
