Set up, step by step.

Do this once before your first brew. When you're ready, the matching brew guide takes over with a live, guided timer.

1. Boil the kettle Boil a little extra water so you can warm your server if you like.
2. Weigh 20g of coffee and grind it Start with a coarse grind. The valve will help you fine-tune the flow.
3. Place the filter flat in the valve base Smooth the paper across the base so there are no folds or lifted edges.
4. Press the brew chamber securely into the base Check that the chamber is seated evenly before adding coffee.
5. Place the brewer on your server and scale Use a stable server with enough room for the full brew.
6. Close the flow valve Start fully closed. The guide will drain the bloom, close again, then restrict the valve near the 1:15 clock position.
7. Add the coffee and level the bed Gently shake the brewer until the coffee sits flat.
8. Place the dispersion cap on top Pouring through the cap will spread water gently across the coffee.
9. Turn on the scale and tare it to 0g Make sure your scale is set to grams before you begin.
10. You’re all set! Press "Done" to start the timer. Filtru will guide the valve and low water column through the 3:30 target. If it finishes early, grind finer next time. If it runs late, grind coarser.
