Set up, step by step.

Do this once before your first brew. When you're ready, the matching brew guide takes over with a live, guided timer.

  1. Boil the kettle Boil a little extra water so you can rinse the paper and thoroughly warm the ceramic brewer.
  2. Weigh 15g of coffee and grind it Use a medium-coarse grind as your starting point.
  3. Place the W60 on your cup or server Check that the ceramic dripper sits level and secure.
  4. Fold and place the V60 02 paper Insert the paper directly into the ceramic dripper and settle it against the ribs.
  5. Rinse the paper and warm the brewer Wet the whole paper with hot water and thoroughly preheat the ceramic body.
  6. Discard the rinse water Keep the W60 steady as you empty the server, then place everything back on the scale.
  7. Seat the mesh filter inside the paper Set the clean mesh basket into the paper and make sure it rests evenly in the W60.
  8. Add the coffee to the mesh filter Gently shake the W60 so the flat coffee bed sits level.
  9. Turn on the scale and tare it to 0g Keep each pour over the coffee and leave a small gap around the filter edge.
  10. You’re all set! Press "Done" to start. Aim to finish between 3:00 and 3:15. If it drains sooner, grind a little finer next time. At 3:15, remove it and grind a little coarser next time if it is still dripping.
